MOISTURIZER FABLES

Do you wary away from moisturizing each day because you are frightened it may cause you to break out? Do you feel your skin is too oily?

Did you know…? It doesn’t matter what texture of skin you have, it unconditionally requires hydration in the form of either serum for extreme cases or creams for general cases? We are here to demystify the top legends about your skin and using a moisturizer.

FIRST, OILY-TYPE SKIN DOESN’T REQUIRE ANY MOISTURIZER, IT WILL JUST BREAK YOU OUT

FALSE. While oilier skin may not require any more oil than it already has, it does however need additional moisture; and if combination-type skin doesn’t get adequate hydration, it creates excessive amounts of oil—causing you to think its oily skin, when in reality you have dry skin.

If you really have oily skin, select an oil-free moisturizing product that contributes the moisture your skin needs without the addition of oils. This should be used daily

SECOND, MOISTURIZER IS MOISTURIZER

There are numerous moisturizers that work for differing skin care needs. Some comprise components that are intended to soften the skin and some that may focus on other issues like reducing inflammation. Others are intended to nourish and help slough away dead skin. While yet other versions are aimed at helping skin preserve its natural states-of-moisture. And yet again others may serve multiple purposes.

If you have an explicit skin issue, use a moisturizer intended to address your chief skin concerns. Once you get it re-regulated, you can tryout a multi-faceted formula.

THIRD, YOU CAN USE AN ALL-IN-ONE LOTION ON YOUR BODY OR YOUR FACE

Your facial skin is much thinner and therefore more delicate than the rest of your body… It requires a particular type of moisturization and to go even further, the area under the eyes needs even more precaution. Therefore at all times use a moisturizer indicated for faces on your face and for bodies on your body, and you guessed it for eyes on your eyes.

FOURTH, ONLY MOISTURIZE WHEN THE SKIN IS DRIED AFTER BATHING

Skin holds extra-hydration from your skin conditioner when smeared on damp skin. You pore system opens up and is further disposed to quickly absorbing the product. Always apply it within a couple minutes of drying the skin for ideal results.

FIFTH, DON’T USE IT WHEN YOU ARE BREAKING OUT

Remember oily skin needs moisturizer and so too does acne-infected skin. Just be sure to select a moisturizer that is non-comedogenic and it should also be oil, dye and acid free.

Keep in mind, your skin needs moisture, irrespective of its condition. So, do some investigation, discern which type of skin you have, then treat your particular needs. Your skin will thank you!
